My Waxing System - Frequently Asked Questions

I. Pre-Treatment

Examine the skin. USE THE CONSULTATION CARD OF MY WAXING SYSTEM. Use the waxes accordingly. If the hair is too long, then carefully trim or cut the hair before waxing. The ideal length for waxing is ¼ inch.

Apply Pre-Epil Spray or Gel to treatment areas. This product contains denatured alcohol and tea tree oil (strong antiseptic, anti fungus, repairs skin).

Directions:

Apply Pre-Epil Spray on areas to be treated. LET the PRODUCT DRY before using Pre- Powder.

OR

Before waxing, use PreEpil Gel Gel formula (Contains Denatured Alcohol and Tea Tree Oil). Do a gentle massage with this gel formula before facial or body waxing. LET PRODUCT DRY before using powder or wax.

Apply Pre-Wax Powder (contains Purified powder; Italian talcum powder - very small grain, removes humidity from the skin). Use a small amount of the product, and spread it out over the whole skin area that you want wax.

TIP: If you are performing a facial waxing with Hard Wax (recommended for sensitive skin), don't use Pre-Wax Powder prior to facial waxing. Start waxing when the Pre-Epil product is dry!

II. Waxing

Choose the proper wax:

• A+ Wax: Blue strip wax in plastic pot and in cartridges: For large parts of the body, legs, arms, back, chest.
• Black Wax for Men: Black strip wax in plastic pot and in cartridges: For large parts of the body, legs, arms, back, chest.
• Brazilian Beige Hard Wax: Type Brazilian Hard Wax: Bikini line, Brazilian, Under arms.
• Tropical Red Hard Wax: Type Brazilian Hard Wax, developed to do facial waxing, chin, cheeks, hairline, eye brows for men and women.

When the hairs are long, cut them carefully with scissors or a trimmer, then wax. The hair needs to be ¼ inch long in order to be able to wax.

A+ Wax ( strip wax, also known as Soft Wax, blue for women and black for men)

Ingredients: Hydrogenated Pine Rosin – Vegetable Oils- Mineral Oils - Treatment of the rosin removes any remaining turpentine and reduces the risk of a rosin allergic reaction for the client.

Technique: Put wax on in the direction of the hair growth with a wooden or Metal Spatula Technicians should follow their state license board requirements!

*If you use metal spatula, hold spatula in less than 90° angle, when touching the skin, MOVE YOUR SPATULA ONCE YOU TOUCH THE SKIN!

*Use disposable wooden spatulas for smaller areas, than you can apply your spatula in an angle of less than 45°.

*Temperature of strip wax: 160° F

MY WAXING SYSTEM HEATERS

Small heaters: Button nr. 3 and 4

Large heaters: Button nr. 2 to 3

Roller System with Bleu A+ wax in cartridges/ Black strip wax in cartridges.

Technique: Put wax on in the direction of the hair growth. be sure that you hold the Hand Held Heater in the right direction.

*Temperature of strip wax: 160° F

MY WAXING SYSTEM HEATERS

Hand Held Heater: Button between 5 and 6

Brazilian Hard Wax : Beige, Black & Red

*HARD WAX IS A MUST IN EVERY SALON.* MY WAXING SYSTEM uses Brazilian Hard Wax for Bikini, Brazilian and Underarm waxing, it works perfectly!

Ingredients: Hydrogenated Pine Rosin -Paraffin- Treatment of the rosin removes any remaining turpentine and reduces the risk of a rosin allergic reaction for the client.

Technique: Put the wax on in the direction of hair growth. Hard wax applies thicker than soft wax. Check temperature before applying on the skin.

Tropical Red Hard Wax: Perfect for facial waxing, safe and easy!

This hard wax works without strips and can be applied in a thin layer, perfect for facial waxing, to do eyebrows, upper lip,chin, cheeks and hair line.

Ingredients: Hydrogenated Pine Rosin -Paraffin- Treatment of the rosin removes any remaining turpentine and reduces the risk of a rosin allergic reaction for the client.

Technique: Put the wax on in the direction of the hair growth. Hard wax applies ticker than soft wax, check t° before applying on the skin.

Brazilian Hard Wax, Beige and Black and Red Facial Wax can be used 2 times on the same areas.

Put wax on in the direction of the hair growth, pull the wax of against the direction of hair growth.

*Temperature of the Brazilian Hard Wax* Temperature of the Tropical Red Hard Facial Wax: Between 145° F. and 150° F.

Small Heater: Botton between nr 3 and 4

Large Heater: Botton between 1 and 2

Hamamelis Lotion ( Spray)

Hamamelis extract= Witch Hazel Natural disinfectant

While doing larger parts of the body, use Hamamelis Lotion between your service, it will disinfect and refresh the skin and will be a pleasant experience for the client. Let dry before applying again the wax. Ideal to use after facial waxing..

III. AFTER WAXING TREATMENT

Blue Oil

• Mineral Oil (this oil removes the wax residue).
• Alpha Bisbolol repairs skin Azulleen
• Camomile relaxes skin
• Softens skin, for dry & sensitive skin
• Removes any remaining wax easily
• Use a little product

Cool Crème ( Also in retail!)

Use together with BLUE OIL, it will give the perfect finish!

• Camphor: disinfectant, absorbent, protects against redness
• Menthol: Cools and calms skin
